CNP Exposure Workshop

Where: Garden of the Gods

When: May 16th, 10:00am (meet early for sunrise shoot)

Hosted by: Todd Caudle

Learn exposure from a pro!

Meet at the Main Parking Lot before sunrise for a morning shoot with fellow CNPers. Then stick around for everything you wanted to know about exposure, but didn't know who to ask...

This workshop will be geared towards photographers with ability levels ranging from beginner to advanced amateur, although photographers of any skill level are welcome to attend. Attendees are advised to bring the camera system they most often use, including any handheld light meters currently in their arsenal. It is also a good idea to bring a pen and pad for taking notes, but that is at the discretion of the attendees.

Topics to be covered include (but are not limited to):

Exposure/Metering basics
Sunny-16 rule
Exposure principles of the Zone system in everyday use
Using gray cards
In-camera meters
Handheld meters
Incident meters
Spot meters
Filter factors
Graduated ND filter use
Long exposures/reciprocity characteristics
Shoot the moon
Q&A throughout
