7th Annual - 2010 RMNP / NPC Shindig!

Where: Qube Visual (Map)

When: Saturday, January 30th, 2010 @ 5:00pm

Coordinated by: Rich Voninski (RichieV) and Rene Pirolt

Please join us for our 7th Annual RMNP get-together at QUBE Visual!

Last year's shindig was a great success, and we'd love to meet the new RMNP members that have joined us during the year. It is really hard to believe that this is the 7th year. This annual event is enjoyed by all and we welcome all RMNP members/participants to join in the celebration and fun.

Besides food, drink (bring some to share) and socializing, we'll have these activities on hand:

Print and Portfolio Sharing - Bring a print, portfolio, and/or other projects you're working on to share with others.

Print Exchange - Bring any print you would like to exchange. We finally got the White Elephant right and it is a real riot. The rules are posted, below

Slide Show - We will have our annual member slide show. To submit images, please use the form, below.

Gear Swap/Sale- Bring photography related gear you wish to sell or trade. We will set up a table where we can display all items. Please tag items with your name.

We have been working hard on getting some great door prizes and we don’t want to ruin any surprises so you'll just have to attend to see what goodies we have been able to get for the group.

Submit your images for the slideshow!
  • Images should be no larger than 1024 pixels horizontal and 768 pixels vertical.
  • Files need to be JPEG with a size limit of 250 Kb.
  • You may submit up to 10 images.
  • Images can be marked with your copyright and/or website.

Upload Photo (from your computer):

Please email Rich Voninski if you experience any troubles uploading your images.

Print Exchange / White Elephant Rules

To participate in the event, you must bring a print of any size, either loose or matted and mounted. (Suggested size is 8x10 or larger.) The print must be covered, wrapped, or rolled so the image is not visible.

  • All covered prints will be placed on a table.

  • Each person draws a number to determine the order of play.

  • For the first round, the person with the lowest number picks a covered print from the table and reveals it to the group.

  • For each subsequent round, the person with the next highest number either picks a covered print from the table and reveals it to the group, or steals a previously revealed print from another person.

  • If the person picks a covered print, the game moves to the next round.

  • If the person decides to steal someone else print, he/she replaces the item by either picking a covered print from the table, or stealing another person’s print. This step continues until everyone has a print in hand, and the game moves to the next round.

  • There is no limit to the number of times a print can be stolen; however, each print may only be stolen once per round.

  • If the person from the first round still has the original item after the last round of the game, he/she may choose to steal any other print, resulting in one more round of the game.
